Cell Photography
In biology class we had spent several weeks studying cells, and their structures and functions. For one of our lab activities, we took samples of different celled organisms (cork, a potato, red pepper skin, Elodea, skin from our inner cheek, yogurt, and onion skin), and viewed them under a microscope. We were able to identify the different cells as well as study some of their structures. For the final part of this mini project, we took samples of different plants/animals/cultures and placed them under the microscope and took pictures. We, then, took these pictures, formatted them, and placed them into a template in order to create a poster of many different types of cells. The cells I decided to format were orchid leaf cells. This project was significant to me because I love biology and art, so a project that was able to combine both of these into one really stands out to me.
Overall, I would say that this project was fun. It was simple and informative, and it also combined two things i'm passionate about, which makes this project a five star one.
